What is Coronary Heart Disease?
Coronary heart disease also known as CHD, is a condition in the coronary arteries were plaque (plak) builds up and narrows the airways in the artery. Arteries supply the oxygen-rich blood to the muscles in the heart, while the plak is made up of fat , calcium and other elements found in the blood.
Dictionary Definition:
A disease of the heart and the coronary arteries that is characterized by atherosclerotic arterial deposits that block blood flow to the heart, causing myocardial infraction
